- Informed Consent - A process in which a health care provider educates a patient about the risks, benefits, and alternatives of a given procedure or intervention. Once it is deemed that the patient is able to consent, then the procedure or intervention is provided for the patient. This process is sometimes used regarding gender affirming care, and is much faster than other routes may be.
- Internalized Transphobia - When a transgender person is transphobic.
- Intergender - A gender that is in some form linked to being intersex.
- Intersex - Intersex people are individuals born with any of several sex characteristics including chromosome patterns, gonads, or genitals that, according to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, "do not fit typical binary notions of male or female bodies".
- Intersexism - The discrimination, prejudice, dislike, and hatred of and towards intersex people.
