- Natal Man - A cisgender man/someone who was born male. This term is sometimes used by transphobic people to invalidate trans people, and as such, it is a term that is not recommended for general usage.
- Natal Woman - A cisgender woman/someone who was born female. This term is sometimes used by transphobic people to invalidate trans people, and as such, it is a term that is not recommended for general usage.
- Necrogender - A gender that used to exist but is now dead.
- Necronym - Many transgender people decide to change their given name as a part of their social transition. The 'original birth name' that is no longer used is sometimes referred to as a necronym. More commonly known as a deadname.
- Neophallus - A new penis (constructed by surgery). Typically refers to metoidioplasty or phalloplasty results.
- Neopronouns - Any set of singular third-person pronouns that are not officially recognized in the language they are used in, typically created with the intent of being a gender neutral pronoun set.
- Neovagina - A new vagina (constructed by surgery). Typically refers to vaginoplasty results.
- Neurodivergent - Neurodivergence is the term for people whose brains function differently in one or more ways than is considered "standard" or "typical".
- Neurotypical - Neurotypical is a descriptor that refers to someone who has the brain functions, behaviors, and processing considered "standard" or "typical."
- Neutrois -
- Having a gender that is specifically neutral, or a neutral third gender that is neither male nor female.
- Without a gender or gender identity, similar to agender.
- When one's gender is neutral or null.
- Nibling - Gender neutral word used to refer to the child of your sibling. Can be used in the same manner as words such as niece or nephew.
- No Gender - Without a gender or gender identity. See also agender and genderless.
- No-ho/Non-ho - Slang referring to a transgender person who has no interest in pursuing hormonal transition.
- Nonbinary -
- An umbrella term referring to all gender identities, excluding only male and female. Some individuals will identify as simply nonbinary.
- Any gender, or lack of gender, or mix of genders, that is not strictly male or female.
- A term for people who are not men or women, or are both men and women, or who are something else entirely, or are some combination of these things, or some of these things some of the time.
- Non-Gendered - Without a gender or gender identity. Similar to agender and genderless.
- No-op/Non-op - Slang referring to a transgender person who has no interest in pursuing surgical transition. Some (not all) people who are non-op are gender refuseniks.
- Nullification - Surgical procedures to remove genitalia without necessarily replacing it.
