- E - Slang term for estrogen.
- Egg - Someone who has not yet realized that they are transgender
- Electrolysis - A permanent method of hair removal that involves the usage of electricity. This type of hair removal is sometimes required prior to certain surgeries. Some trans people simply seek it out simply for gender euphoria.
- Enban - A gender neutral word to refer to an adult. Can be used in the same manner as words such as man or woman. Typically used by nonbinary people. The plural of enban is enben.
- Enbie/Enby - Slang/casual terms used to refer to a nonbinary person. Usually used to refer to a young nonbinary person.
- Endocrinologist - A doctor who specializes in hormones. Trans people may need to see endocrinologists as they transition in order to be prescribed testosterone or estrogen.
- Endosex - A term with a prefix meaning "within." Someone who is not intersex.
- En Femme - Dressed in a feminine fashion, or as a woman.
- Enfriend - A gender neutral term for a significant other. Can be used in the same manner as words such as boyfriend or girlfriend.
- En Homme - Dressed in a masculine fashion, or as a man.
- Epicene -
- Indicating either sex with only one grammatical form. Partaking of the characteristics of both sexes. Common to both sexes; worn or inhabited by both sexes.
- An archaic term for someone who has characteristics of both genders, or who can’t be classified as purely male or female. Most often used for male-assigned people with feminine tendencies.
- Erasure - A lack of representation of a group in media, news and pop culture. Erasure may be either deliberate or accidental, and targets all queer identities to varying degrees.
- E.R.T. - Estrogen Replacement Therapy
- Estradiol - The most potent and common form of estrogen in the human body. Supplemental estradiol is sometimes taken by trans people, usually with the intent of achieving a more feminine appearance.
- Estrogens - Hormones that activate female sex characteristics, such as estradiol.
- Eunuch -
- A man whose penis has been removed, or (rarely) a man who has been sterilized. This term should not be used to refer to trans people.
- There are some people who self-identify as eunuchs, though this is uncommon. Never assume this label for others.
- Egender/Exgender -
- The outright refusal to identify in, on, or around the current gender hierarchy.
- The name is derived from the idea of answering e) none of the above when asked on a multiple choice questionnaire to answer with a gender identity. Crossing out the question or eating the paper that the question was written on are also potential outcomes. It is the refusal to answer the question.
