The Dreamscape

This work has been abandoned.
This work is consists of only one chapter with a word count of 622.

I laid on my stomach on my bed tapping away at my laptop. The paper was due at midnight, and I’d just started writing it a few minutes ago. I type a few more words, not bothering to proof read, then hit submit.

My parents would probably question why I even wanted to go to a human school if I was just going to slack off. The reason lied on campus.

Though my isolated pack didn’t know about it, Canvas Community College was more werewolf than human. Perfect for me to find a mate. Or two. Or five.

I stand up to put away my laptop, plugging it in after setting it on my desk.

On the one hand, I am lucky to have my own private dorm room. On the other, I wish I could share it with my partners.

I lie down again, this time on my back, after turning off the lights.

There’s Wyvren, a short black wolf with purple eyes and a hobby of writing. There’s Peanut, a blonde, nonbinary human who’s facinated by bugs. There’s Trisha, a red wolf who loves baking. There’s Peter, a white wolf who’s always getting into fights. And finally, there’s Snake, a green wolf who is good at kissing.

I, myself, am Ray, a blue werewolf. My human form is female with long, full, electric blue hair, and sky blue eyes. I’m about 5’ and I’m faster than you’d think. My wolf form is male and 7ft tall. I’m just as blue, and will give you a ride if you ask nicely.

I wake up to my alarm clock, yawning and on the floor. In my sleep, I’d rolled off the bed, and landed on the floor. I was also mysteriously in my wolf form, which I sometimes did unconsciously.

I stretched and heard a voice in my head. It was Snake.

“Good morning, sweetie,” he said.

“Good morning, Babe,” I thought back.

Werewolves have the ability to telepathically communicate with their mates. Its such an innate ability that I am even able to use it with Peanut to some extent.

“Are you ready yet?” He asked.

“I literally just woke up,” was my dazed response.

“Oh come on,” I heard a thump at the front door. A thump that sounded suspiciously like Snake banging his head on the door.

I walked over, and opened the door. He was standing there, fully dressed and groomed, a stark contrast to my bedhead and outfit consisting of an oversized PJ shirt and underwear.

“Come in, Doofus,” I said out loud when he just stood there. He ambled into the room, shutting the door behind him.

I tossed my shirt onto the bed, and went to my dresser, where I rifled around for a bra and a black dress. Though the dress was short skirted, the sleeves were long. Perfect for fall. Once the garments were on, I pulled on a pair of green thigh highs, and slipped into a pair of sneakers.

grabbed my pre-packed backpack, and said to Snake, who’s been silently watching, “Let’s go.”

“With that hair?” He raised an eyebrow.

“Ugh. Fine.” I sat down in a chair. “You do it if you care so much.”

“Fine.” He went over to my shelf and picked out a brush and hair ties. Within a few minutes, my massive curly mess was neatly organized into two blue braids.

“Thank you.” I leaned up and kissed him on the lips. “Now let’s go.”

I picked up the backpack, and grabbed the collar of his shirt, dragging him out of the dorm room.

I let go of him in the hallway to close and lock the door.

We then headed out to the campus.
